In these extreme, tough economic times we must become even more vigilant about ensuring that all voices have an opportunity to be heard as we advocate for meeting basic human needs and effectively work to ensure that hard won battles for human rights and racial, political, economic and social justice are not diminished.  We are in the midst of an unprecedented economic crisis that continues to threaten the core infrastructure of community based non-profits! As such, it is vitally important that organizations must stand together as Partners and Allies during these very difficult times. 

MEDC provides the opportunity for our members, their clients, staff, and board to become a part of the social change movement. Through our programs, MEDC builds our membership’s skills, educates the broader public about communities of color, and influences public policy and public resource allocation distribution in order to achieve equity and social justice. And we want to invite you to join us in our work by becoming an allied member of MEDC.

Together, we can play an integral role in strengthening our community and advocating for policies that better our populations.
